Practical Application of Our Mission and Vision
TRUTH. All instrument lessons include, but are not limited to Christian music material. We promote truth in our music and reserve the right to refuse any song or piece a student requests based on our core values. All dance classes will use Christian or instrumental pieces with various genres depending on dance style. Lyrics are carefully looked over and approved by leadership before being presented and taught in the classroom.
PRAYER. We pray at the end of each individual and group lesson. We believe all of our creative gifts our from God and evidence that we are a part of His family. We want to include Him in everything we do as well as create a safe space where students can bring their needs, worries, and desires to God.
FRIENDSHIP. We believe it is important for students to form strong connections with other students and instructors. We do not desire to simply check in and check out of classes, but rather to pursue each student in personal relationship and cultivate an environment that promotes friendship in group classes. Dance classes are separated by skill level and age group to further encourage connection over competition.
GROWTH. At RSW, it is important to us that we celebrate hard work, commitment, and growth. For this reason, we host semester recitals in May and December as an opportunity for students to showcase their skills, and bring glory to God with their talents.
